No documentary common ancestor has yet been established between the Fellheim/Laupheim Einstein branch and Albert Einstein’s documented Buchau branch.

Evidence

Bergmann documented unsuccessful attempts to connect the Swabian branches. The 2026 Augsburg archive search did not recover Daniel Einstein's underlying 1722/1747 originals or identify his father. Independent Buchau evidence now establishes an early Baruch Moses Ainstein household and supports an early Moises line, making Baruch a testable candidate common ancestor, but no source-backed Daniel-to-Baruch parent-child link has been found. Repeated derivative pedigrees asserting that link are leads, not documentary proof.

What remains uncertain

Absence of a proved connection is not proof that no earlier relationship existed. Baruch Moses Ainstein is a specific candidate common ancestor, but the Fellheim-side link required to establish that hypothesis is missing.
