The 1897 marriage index links Harry Freeman to his known spouse, Sarah Minnie Saxe. Repeated spouse-and-child household patterns then connect the family in Philadelphia censuses, an Omaha directory, and later Omaha censuses. This is substantially stronger than a name-only match, but the evidence remains indexed or derivative because the original images have not been inspected.
Joseph appears as Harry's son in the 1910 Philadelphia and 1920 Omaha census indexes. The 1930 Omaha census index places Melvin as Joseph's son. These household links are sufficient to establish the deceased direct-line anchor while respecting the living-person firewall.
The 1897 marriage index is tied to Harry's known spouse Minnie Saxe and therefore has a strong identity marker. The 1889 directory entry supplies the correct name and Omaha geography but no age, relative, or other unique identifier in the bounded extract. The 1887 newspaper gives only a name in an arrest item and cannot be connected by age, address, occupation, relative, or destination. The digitized Douglas County A-K naturalization index page covering Freeman contains only Joseph Freeman, dated 1870, and no Harry; the NARA Omaha federal index likewise has no Harry Freeman. These are useful negative findings but do not move the earliest secure usage earlier than 1897.
The supplied GEDCOM preserves Lithuania as the reported birth place while U.S.-record-derived entries use Russia and three different immigration years. For a person born in the 1860s, those labels are not sufficient to identify a town, district, or modern national locality, and the conflicts prevent selecting a single arrival year without the underlying immigration or naturalization record. Neither the inspected Douglas County compiled index nor the Omaha federal index contains a Harry Freeman entry from which person-specific nativity or arrival information can be extracted.
